The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is one of our key downstream locations. We began work on two distribution terminals there in 2008 to provide a reliable source of fuel for mining companies in the country’s remote Katanga Province, a mineral rich region with high reserves of copper and cobalt. The Group recently opened another terminal in Matadi.
Our customers require a secure and continuous supply of fuel and lubricant products to ensure production is never interrupted. We recently started a lubricant business in Katanga to further secure the supply for our B2B mining customers. Our fully coordinated logistics chain that involves the import of products by road from Tanzania, Mozambique and South Africa allows us to serve some of the world’s leading mining companies.
