The Republic of Cuba is an island country in the Caribbean. Havana is the capital of Cuba and its largest city, followed by Santiago de Cuba. To the north of Cuba lie the United States and the Bahamas. Mexico is to the west, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica are to the south, and Haiti and the Dominican Republic are to the southeast. Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean, and with over 11 million people it is also the most populous. While Cuba is not the richest country in the world it has both a high life expectancy and literacy rate. The average life expectancy at birth is 78 years and the literacy rate is 99.8%.

Outside our office door
The old streets of the capital Havana, the warm welcome from the locals, the music that plays such a big part of Cuban life and seems to come from every corner – there are many fine experiences waiting for you on this one-of-a-kind island. To eat and drink? It has to be Aijaco stew and a mojito – the quintessential minty Cuban cocktail.
