Since acquiring our fuels marketing and supply businesses in 2012, we have been applying our global know how to build brand equity in competitive markets such as Panama. This strategy is paying off.
We are a strategic supplier to the government and are supplying 57,000m3 of fuel per year to fuel the daily operations of the Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (ACP) – Panama Canal Authority, which is responsible for enlarging Panama’s famous shipping canal.
We have continued to invest in our midstream operations to increase the competitiveness of our businesses and during 2015 we acquired a new terminal in Panama to further strengthen our position in the region.
Outside our office door
Panama's jungle is home to an abundance of tropical plants, birds and other animals – some of them to be found uniquely in Panama. For a trip to remember, see the Spanish colonial architecture of the Casco Viejo, or take a taxi and have a glimpse of the Panama Canal, to which Puma Energy supplies fuel. When it comes to food, we love the chicken stew Sancocho and the delicious Chicheme – a corn, cinnamon and vanilla milk drink.
