Key market statistics:
- Terminals: 1
- Storage capacity: 51,200m³
We acquired the Alibesa bitumen terminal in the port of Cadiz in 2015 and subsequently expanded it, increasing our bitumen storage to 51,200m³.
The ISO9000 certified terminal has the capacity to store and drum any grade of bitumen, making it ideally equipped to serve as an international hub and help companies and countries build vital road infrastructure by providing high quality bitumen products on time and safely. At Cadiz we have also pioneered double-hulled bitucontainers, which improve safety and reduce costs for customers.
The facility received its BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management certificate in 2015.
Outside our office door
Spain is full of wonderful places to visit, including a host of great cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Seville – all of them with own distinct attractions. Or you could enjoy the many pleasures of the Balearic Islands – from partying the night and day away in Ibiza to relaxing on a tranquil beach in Menorca. Our favourite trip is to drive the beautiful coastal route near Cadiz, passing our bitumen terminals along the way. If you get the chance, try the paella and red wine from the Ribera del Duero region – they’re delicious!
