Our Executive Committee provides strategic direction, defines our business priorities and provides guidance on operational issues.
The Executive Committee (EC) is responsible to the Chairman and CEO. As Puma Energy’s primary decision-making body, it’s responsible for implementing strategy formulated by the Board of Directors. The EC meets at least once every month.
Joined Trafigura in 2004 and led the carve-out process of Puma Energy. Previously, Pierre spent three years at the Boston Consulting Group on a range of international assignments. Before that, he was employed by Elf (now Total) in a variety of international roles in its downstream and trading divisions. Pierre holds an engineering degree from École Polytechniques in Paris and Engineering degree from Ecole des Mines de Paris.
Chief Financial Officer
Joined Puma Energy in September 2008 as CFO. Denis has had various finance roles at Total (downstream), Addax & Oryx (CFO and GM of Downstream) and Vallourec (CFO of Oil and Gas division). Denis holds a MPhil in International Relations from Panthéon-Sorbonne Université and MCs from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris
Global Head of Project Development and Sustainability
Duncan joined in 2009 as Manager for Trafigura and Puma Energy’s global storage and supply business. He has previously worked for independent refining company, Petroplus and, prior to that as a supply trader for Elf in the UK, and as a Refinery Process Engineer at Elf’s Milford Haven refinery in Wales. Duncan holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University, UK.
Chief Operating Officer, Africa
Joined Trafigura in 2010 as Head of Trafigura’s metals trading for Africa and was appointed Head of Puma Energy Africa in May 2011. He previously worked for Umicore in a variety of operational and general management roles. Christophe holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique in Brussels.
Joined Trafigura in 2009 on the gasoline desk in the Houston office and transitioned to his new role in Puma in early 2013. Jonathan started his career with Fina Oil & Chemical (now Total) in petrochemicals. He has worked in the oil and petrochemical trading space. Jonathan holds a BA in Economics Concentration from Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific and Middle East
Joined Trafigura in 2002 as Project and Investment Manager in the oil asset division. He previously worked for Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche in a variety of roles within finance and M&A. Robert holds a first class Honours degree from University of Cambridge and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).
Senior Advisor, Americas
Serafin joined the oil industry in 1975 and worked in a variety of roles mainly related to supply, trading and wholesale for several oil companies in Spain, Argentina and Italy. He worked for Trafigura between 1995 and 1997 and, after doing fuel supply for some power companies in Spain and Italy, returned to Trafigura and Puma as COO Americas in July 2012. Serafin holds a degree in Chemistry from Granada University.
Chief Operations Officer America
Rodrigo was appointed COO of the Americas on March 3rd 2014. He joined Puma Energy in 2011 to lead the transition and integration process of the Exxon Centam acquisition. Following this Rodrigo worked as Puma Energy´s General Manager in Paraguay. Previously, Rodrigo spent eleven years at Petrobras on diverse positions such as M&A, Refinery Logistics Planning and Marketing in Argentina, Brasil and Chile. Before that, he was employed by Shell where he started in Finance and ended as Retail Area Manager. Rodrigo holds an economics degree from Universidad de Belgrano and MBA from Universidad del CEMA in Argentina. Rodrigo won the coveted 2014 Platts 'Rising Star' Global Energy Award.
Global Head of Midstream Operations
Joined Puma Energy in 2013 in Geneva as Senior Project Advisor. Antonio has a wealth of experience in the oil industry after 31 years of activity in refinery operations, logistical optimisation, and supply networks. Started his career in 1983 with PDVSA Venezuela, in different Engineering, Operations, Projects Commissioning and Supply roles before joining Petroplus in Switzerland in 2007. Antonio holds a chemical engineer title from Simon Bolivar University-Caracas and an engineering degree in oil refining from French Petroleum Institute in Paris.
