Liquified petroleum gas (LPG)
Building our liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) business should have a positive effect on the environment, as it has a carbon footprint around 20% lower than conventional heating oil and 50% lower than coal.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas
We have a simple goal as your supplier – to deliver high-quality LPG at a competitive price and on time to enable you to power your business today and in the future.
Choose us as your partner and you have a strong and positive ally in your quest to operate profitably and successfully.
Saving money and the environment
We specialise in the storage, bottling and distribution of LPG and we have LPG distribution operations in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. From storage, through bottling to distribution, our priorities are to offer value for money, quality of service and promote high safety standards. LPG provides a low carbon, low pollution alternative and increasing numbers of consumers choose it as an efficient and cost-effective solution in place of kerosene and wood.
Around two million domestic customers living in the Havana area, Cuba, use our LPG for cooking and heating their homes. In Benin, West Africa, we have LPG storage facilities with a capacity of around 5,000m³, enabling us to supply our growing retail network in the country. We also have a significant storage and distribution capacity in Senegal, which is currently Africa’s largest consumer of LPG.
Extending our LPG offer
The switch to LPG has clear environmental benefits, as deforestation becomes an increasingly pressing issue in many countries. With governments, businesses and consumers in emerging markets becoming more focused on the need to include lower carbon alternatives in their energy mix, we believe that rising demand will help us build and extend our LPG offer. In some markets, Puma Energy has already become the partner of choice of national oil companies as they transition away from kerosene.
